Encompasses responsible management practices to ensure the long-term health and resilience of natural woodlands.   

This is critical so that our forests continue to regulate climate, provide clean water and air, provide a place for heathy and enjoyable recreational activities, and support biodiversity of plants and wildlife. 

Practices include establishing protected areas, selecting areas suitable for actively managing to develop forest products such as lumber and maple syrup, combating deforestation, protection from wildfires, and establishing a low impact recreation trail network.
