This gem is best known as the place that evokes Shhhhhhhhhhh…. !!!! No artificial night light and no sounds other than soft gentle breezes from off the sparkling waters of Lake of Many Islands.

The forest is a varied mixture of hardwoods, softwoods and coniferous species which have been left to grow for over 30 years.

Sustainable harvesting practices will be introduced in the near future to enhance the growth of quality timber and provide varied habitat for the multitude of wildlife species that enjoy this property.

Photos below make their best attempt to capture the beauty and tranquility of this secluded gem.

This property is comprised of 265 acres of mixed forest, former agricultural uses and a meandering river which is home to several species of fish and other wildlife including ducks, geese and herons.

It’s an ideal location to explore afforestation projects which will enhance the thickening of the existing forest and vegetation which is one of the goals of Ravens Forest.

The meandering river and stream provides many opportunities to enhance the trail system by providing quiet resting areas along the hike.

This property is a short drive from our nearby Keiller Lake, Magnetawan property.

This 300 acre property is very unique with over 3,000 feet of waterfront on Keiller Lake.

The forest is mainly comprised of stands timber that has not had much harvesting for over 40 years. The forest is habitat for a very large moose population and also the usual population of ducks, herons and beaver.

The very secluded location adds considerably to the feeling of remoteness, quietness and tranquility.

Some selective thinning of diseased and deformed trees will be undertaken over the next few years to add to the health and overall well-being of the forest.

This Ravens Forest property is in a league of its own! An amazing 2,256 acre forest with every imaginable wilderness feature making it a treasure to behold.

From a 100 acre lake surrounded by outstanding moose habitat that has produced massive bull moose that rival any in Ontario.

High ridges, wetlands, outstanding yellow birch stands and waterfalls add to the completeness of this forest.
